F.A.Q

WHAT IS THE NEXT STAGE CHALLENGE?

The #NextStageChallenge is a project born from the solidarity of European actors from the Music and Innovation Industry. Together, we wish to bring quick and concrete solutions to the questions and thus support Music. Technology will be at the service of music through challenges covering 3 areas: Access (creation, production, distribution, broadcasting), Fan experience (audience, curation, new technology), Value (revenue, monitoring, recognition).

The pandemic crisis is generating an uncertain future for the music ecosystem. The #NextStageChallenge online hackathon & support program aims to find immediate solutions that can give a chance to artists, promoters and all those that have been deeply affected by the global lockdown to explore new forms of experience and business models for the current crisis and beyond.

The #NextStageChallenge 3 phases program has the objective to work on innovative and sustainable projects to reshape live experience in the digital space.

The call for registration is open until May 01, 2020 and the #NextStageChallenge program will be rolled out as follows:

  • Remote Hackathon – May 04 to May 15 –  3 tracks: ACCESS / FAN ENGAGEMENT / VALUE; 25 projects max will be selected per track.
  • ACCELERATION – May 21 to July 10 – 2 projects will be selected per track to go through an acceleration program supported by a top-quality pool of mentors with different backgrounds and expertise.

Together, we wish to gather music industry players to explore live music challenges in order to co-create quick and concrete new solutions for music professionals and fans and thus support Music out of the #covid19 crisis. Technology will be at the service of music through challenges covering the 3 topic areas: ACCESS / FAN ENGAGEMENT / VALUE
